President’s Message

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

I want to take this opportunity to thank you for a great year. We were involved in many productive activities including our collection drive for immigrants, the mentoring lunch program for students and professionals, the scholarship awards program, karaoke night for adults, and the arts and crafts event for the children.

We recently held our annual fund raising event, "The Faces of Asia", in May 2010. This night was a huge success thanks to the support from our members and friends. The proceeds will benefit the Foundation for an Asian Center to support the Asian community and to help fund our community outreach programs. We are dedicated to unifying Asian organizations and groups in Northeast Florida.

In the upcoming year, JAAA plans to sponsor:

1. Asian Family Beach Day (Sunday, August 8, 2010)
2. Karaoke Holiday Party for our members (December 2010)
3. Mentoring Lunch and Scholarship Program (TBA)
4. Annual Faces of Asia Gala and Casino Night (February 26, 2011)
5. Collection drive for immigrants (Fall 2010)
6. Social networking events (TBA)
